Chinese traditional songs recorded in 1985/87. Style: Chinese folk
music converted into New Age, World, Fusion and Rock.
The album features: Brian Batie, Egbert van Gruythuyzen, Luluk
Purwanto, Ben v/d Dungen, Evert Hekkema,
Stefan Lievestro, Jan ten Brug, Broer Giesing and others. This
release is part of an effort to distribute and promote music in
China through the exclusive services of MUSICINFO, a company based
in Finland that distributes to major Chinese music services. |

the internet book: "Friendship" The Story, their stories - 4 jazz
musicians playing tribute to
Canadian WWII Veterans, a 500 page book written and published by Rene
van Helsdingen. A written
impression of 100 concerts in 76 communities, driving 50.000 km with
the stage bus and handing out 57.000 tulips. This book has the
pictures of beautiful Canada and their beautiful people. Hundreds of
veterans attended these concerts and their images and stories were
published in this book making it a valuable historical document. In 76
communities the mayor received a tulip friendship Garden in honour of
the WWII Veterans, the 60th Anniversary of the liberation of Holland
and the Friendship between Canadians and the Dutch. During this tour
it became so clear: the Dutch love the Canadians and the Canadians
love the Dutch. |

Helsdingen (NL), Luluk Purwanto (Ind) Essiet Okon Essiet (USA),
Marcello Pellitteri (USA) and Sylvia Cuenca (USA). Organized in
cooperation with the Canadian Tulip Festival, Ottawa, The Royal
Netherlands Embassy, Ottawa and JakArt @ 2005 International Arts
Cultural and Educational Festival. The tour was officially launched
on May 13th, 2005 by Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet by the
release of 60 doves from the roof of the Stage Bus. Sponsored and
supported by: 35 cities in the Netherlands, Canadian Ministry of
Veteran Affairs, Petro Canada, Netherlands Flower Bulb Centre Ottawa
(the Tulip Bulbs were donated by the Netherlands Bulb Growers),

BM150232) was financed by the sale of 400 spaces on the
record-cover. By raising small amounts of money from a large number
of people to fund the recording of an LP-project, Rene was a pioneer in the practice of Crowfunding. This
practice was supported and first mentioned in a television program of Mies Bouwman (Dutch
TV Host) on November 3, 1981. |

orchestra formed during his studies of mining engineering at the
Technical University of Delft, The Netherlands. This recording
represents the beginning of his professional career in the 70-ties.
The start of a diverse string of original recordings and releases
