Musical bus on tour in Greece

The 20-member ‘Stage Bus’ troupe from distant Indonesia has come to the Peloponese on its purpose made bus carrying the necessary equipment (grand piano, drums, shadow theatre screen etc). Last night they visited and performed in Nafplion, Platia Kapodistria. Singing, dancing, shadow theatre and video projections in a tour organized by the Organism for Promotion of the Greek Culture and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Greece in the framework of the Cultural Olympiad. Tonight, at 9.00 they will be performing in Argos and tomorrow at 9.30 p.m. in Lerna, at Kiveri beach.

The troupe will also travel to other towns in the Peloponese and as Stamatis Mavros, President of OPEP declared yesterday at the press conference, “It is an event which aims at the de-centralization of cultural events. The offering of Indonesia brings us closer to a unique civilization in a greater area which up to now has been a complete unknown to many of us”.

On her part, the ambassador of Indonesia said that “The active participation of Indonesia in the programme of the Cultural Olympiad helps with the further development of relationships on a cultural and social level between the two nations and their people”.
