Born in Brussels in 1954, Swiss father and French mother: I lived in
Belgium, France and Switzerland.
As a young adult, I determined a career as a songwriter but ultimately
found myself employed in banking for more than 15 years. I climbed the
ranks to eventually head the group, and gained power over my situation.
But my unwanted new career, afforded me a lot of free time, allowing me
to devote myself to my passion for photography.
Also, I have mounted several exhibitions of photographs that have always
been given positive feedback in the press. I also won prizes in
competitions and some of my photos were published in magazines.
My journey in life is no longer a river but a quiet road at high speed.
On both sides of this road, there are bucolic places, islands restful to
our eyes which tend to no longer be observed. So enthralled by the
magnificence of certain landscapes inhabited or not by light, as a man
in the darkness I simply wish to share these visions of reality; and
these flowering emotions which generally gives me goosebumps on my skin!
So, today I humbly invite you to stop for a moment to let yourself
discover a few views of the region where my wife, my two children and I,
are lucky enough to live.
Lavaux is the name of this charming country. It lies in Europe,
specifically in Switzerland, in the canton of Vaud, on Lake Geneva
between the cities of Lausanne and Montreux. In contrast to the common
view, you will discover that Switzerland is not always a very calm land
because it has nothing happening. I have seen proof of this in the
photos of Lothard (the name given in 1999 by a famous storm).
Finally, I would ask you to be lenient with me because you will
understand, I am neither a professional photographer or a giver of
lessons, just a smuggler of images, a "photo-poético-dreamer."
