Special ShowsWednesday, September 4th - Luluk Purwanto & the Helsdingen TrioOn Wednesday, September 4th, 91.1 WTJU-FM presents Luluk Purwanto & the Helsdingen Trio in the Amphitheater at the University of Virginia from 5:00 -7:30 PM as part of a nationwide Indonesian-American-Dutch cross-cultural promotions tour. The concert is free and open to the public. This very special jazz concert featuring Luluk Purwanto: violin/voice; René van Helsdingen: piano; Essiet Okon Essiet: bass; and Marcello Pellitteri: drums, will be performed from a 20-ton Performance Stage Bus equipped with Grand piano, drum stage, back drop, lighting, and a complete sound system and multitrack mixing console! The appearance at the University is part of a four month tour to 42 Universities in the USA sponsored by the Embassies of the Netherlands, the Republic of Indonesia, and the United States.
