Biography  

The group started at a Theatre Festival held during a National School Competition,
involving several people from many high schools. 
They are always actively involved in many festivals outside their school activities. 
Because of that they had the need to form a group and decided to call it after the area where they all live at. 
So the name RAUT was born and means the north side (RAyon UTara),
but it can also have the real meaning :" facial features ". 

Some of the awards they have received are:

Besides the above they have also done many other performances at  many universities in
  Jakarta and other cities.  
They present  events in the form of a mime involving several players , students in SMK 49, North Jakarta .  
This all began with organized theatrical basic practices to find new talents,  good actors and actresses. 
The idea of the story came from people chatting, having fun and some mischief as a response to the activity of people in the villages and the cities.  It was not easy to visualize a story at RAUT Theatre since the actresses are students that also have to study hard.  However, that does not diminish their spirit to practice.

Maturity in acting, performance experience, general knowledge, and intelligence are the rules for success in a performance.  An actor should have those factors because it helps creating a play rich with creativity.  With those things to consider, a director is challenged in creating a play good enough to be watched and enjoyed by the community. 

We try to be open to criticisms from other people because it is the best way for the theatre to grow and create a better performance.
If there are awkwardness felt in our play, this is our way to make a satire that will knock on people’s hearts to be more sensible and wise. 

This is some words from us that always cross our mind.  The country needs entertainment as an alternative for advice.  So that there will be some emotional movement without arrogant behavior or even anarchy, but we can laugh at ourselves for our own doing that sometimes hurt others.

Biografi

Lahir dari Festival Teater yang diselenggarakan oleh dikmenti dalam melengkapi sebuah LOMBA KOMPETENSI SEKOLAH tingkat nasional, yang melibatkan beberapa personil dari berbagai sekolah menengah kejuruan. Dalam keberadaannya selalu aktif diberbagai kegiatan Festival di luar sekolah yang diadakan Instansi lainnya. Maka dari itu perlu adanya perbendaharaan juga naungan hingga diakui keberadaannya, maka disepakatilah untuk mendirikan sebuah grup yang sesuai dengan keberadaan domisili para personilnya. Lalu lahirlah nama RAUT (Rayon Utara) tapi juga bisa memiliki makna yang sesungguhnya (Wajah).
